2001 Science Writers Festival - Louise Ralph and colleague Jan Green brought together an enthusiastic team of 20 voluteers to help develop and implement the extensive festival program. This included securing sponsorship from the Queensland Government.

The Science of Blokes - Louise organised this highly successful pub scient event in 2001, and performed a stand-up comedy introduction to set the mood.
